Butte, – Officials from NorthWestern Energy, the City of Bozeman and Montana State University launched the Bozeman Solar Project today with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting.

These deaths are just one concern coming out of the oil fields in the Bakken.  Many are looking at the overall effects of extracting oil and other nonrenewable energy sources, and stepping up efforts to find alternatives. About 40 percent of the state’s electricity is from hydroelectric dams.  However, on windy and sunny days like today, many Montanans are also looking to expand wind and solar options.
