Winter weather leaves Rogers Pass road slushy

Winter has come a bit early it took our reporter Tarvarious Haywood to get to Rogers Pass and roads are pretty clear until he got to Fort Shaw.  He reported that's when he started to see snow accumulation wet roads. Although roads are pretty clear as of 5:30 Wednesday, when he entered into the Lewis and Clark National Forest roads got pretty bad. Roads were slushy and wet. The National Weather Service in Great Falls say they do not have an official report of the snow amount Rogers pass received overnight. Montana Department of Transportation listed on their website that construction has been canceled for the week.

According to the NWS forecast for the Roger Pass area more snow is headed this way for the next few nights. Winter is here but rules do not change meaning please check road conditions before you leave your home and please drive slow.
