What you'll need to know before heading to Pearl Jam at Wash-Griz on August 13

As Rock & Roll Hall Famers Pearl Jam come to the University of Montana on August 13, the University is gearing up for the large crowds expected at the concert. Here's a quick guide to everything you'll need to know if you're heading to the show!  

Surrounding the concert are several closures and changes to the university’s services as Washington-Grizzly Stadium hosts one of the biggest concerts of the decade.

According to a press release from the University of Montana, UM is closing the M Trail and Mount Sentinel for the full 24 hours of August 13 because of Stage II fire restrictions and dry conditions. If you were hoping to see the show from the M Trail, you'll have to make other plans. 

From noon to 7 p.m. on Sunday, August 12, Pearl Jam Merch World will open at Washington-Grizzly Stadium, along with the Adams Center Box Office and Will Call. 

Officials are encouraging UM students and employees to avoid driving to campus on Monday. UDASH buses will run from the Lewis & Clark Transfer Center and the Dornblaser Park and Ride beginning at 7:10 a.m. on August 13. The buses will run at 20 minute intervals until 2:00 p.m., then at eight to twelve minute intervals until 1:00 a.m. 

Concert parking opens at 8 a.m. the morning of the concert. You can register online for a $20 concert parking pass.

The Rock2Vote Festival begins at 3 p.m. Monday in the tailgating areas. 

Gates to Washington-Grizzly Stadium open to concertgoers at 6 p.m. Monday.

If you have a general admission ticket, enter through Gate 1 on the northwest side of the stadium at Merch World.

Ten Club ticketholders can enter through Gate 9 on the north side of Washington-Grizzly Stadium.

Bags larger than 4.5 by 6.5 inches, professional cameras, and food and drink purchased outside the festival area are prohibited. 

Campus Drive will be closed intermittently throughout from Friday, August 10 through Sunday, August 12. The road will be fully closed Sunday evening through the morning of Tuesday, August 14. 

Officials are closing Parking Lot Z until August 15, while lots L, M, M1, N, N1, P, S, T, U, V, W, and Y will be closed on the day of the concert. Sections of Fifth Street, Sixth Street, Van Buren Street, Connell Avenue, Eddy Avenue and Maurice Avenue are also to be closed. 

The Adams Center will be closed to the general public on the day of the concert, although youth camps and the Campus Recreation Outdoor Programs will remain open until 6 p.m.
