UPDATE: 6/12/18 - A man who lived with Ronda Ray, Michael Vales, said that the two used to date and that Ray filed a restraining order.
Willey has a criminal background. He was arrested twice recently for reportedly punching a woman in the face and violating a no contact order. He was also convicted of assault with a weapon back in 2017 and received a three year deferred sentence.
UPDATE: 6/12/18 - The Cascade County Coroner has identified the victims as 42-year-old Ronda Dee Ray of Great Falls and 56 year old Michael Howard Willey of Lincoln. Both died of gunshots wounds but circumstances around their death are still being investigated. No charges have been filed against anyone and Great Falls Police continue to say there is no threat to the public.
UPDATE: 6/11/18: The Great Falls Police Department confirmed that the victims were male and female. They have not been identified.
An autopsy is underway in Missoula. We will update you with more information as it becomes available.
The Great Falls Police Department responded to reports of a disturbance and possible gunshots on the north side of town. It happened around 3:30 a.m on 20th Street North. One person in the area tells us that they saw two people being transported to the hospital but was not sure of the severity of their injuries. GFPD did confirm with us that two people were transported to Benefis but was later pronounced dead.
Currently, GFPD is not searching for any suspects and they say that there is no threat to the community.
