Man charged with rape of 8-year-old wants case dismissed

POLSON- The Lake County sheriff says a 24-year-old woman found severely injured near McDonald Lake on June 23 has died.

Sheriff Don Bell says Cassandra Harris, 24, of Ronan, died as result of injuries on Saturday, June 23 near McDonald Lake in the Mission Mountains.

Officials previously stated that a vehicle was involved in the death, but have not clarified how exactly she was injured.

Four people were arrested and charged in connection with the incident. Sheriff Bell lists their names as:

Julia Vaile of Browning, 18, - charged with negligent homicide

Gale Hendrickx of Pablo, 19, - charged with negligent homicide

Donnovan Sherwood of Arlee, 18, - charged with obstructing justice

Joseph Parizeau Jr. of Ronan, 22, - charged with negligent homicide

The sheriff's office says they will not be releasing further information regarding the investigation, but the Lake County Attorney's Office is expected to release charging documents with more details on the fatal incident.
