Bozeman Schools Continue To Grow

The Bozeman School District is continuing to grow year after year.

Bozeman Schools grew by 100 students, bringing the districts population to 6,100 kids. The district also partially opened their new elementary school, Meadowlark on Wednesday.

With the new school, growth and retirements, the district employed 55 new teachers this year. Bozeman Schools Superintendent, Rob Watson said he is happy to be a part of a growing community.

"I'm hoping that folks will see how great an area Bozeman is to live and raise a family as we open the schools," said Watson. "We've got great schools and a great educational program to offer our community."

After recent tragedies in schools across the country, Bozeman Schools increased safety this year by adding two more resource officers in the elementary and middle schools,
