Community centers invite adults to participate in workshops and exercise routines that celebrate the ability and benefits of healthy aging
For the third year in a row, Hillcrest, an active retirement community in Bozeman, is offering residents the chance to clear the mind and activate the body through a series of speakers and workshops.
"It's so important to get up, get out, move and enjoy the folks that are here, says Hillcrest marketing director, Linda Crisp. The people that come in, we just have such a wonderful time and we do everything from meditation to yoga to t'ai chi."
Active aging week is an annual event held each year to highlight the array of activities available for older adults and to promote physical activity that reduces the risk of diabetes, arthritis and other ailments.
