RAVALLI - Highway 93 north of Missoula was partially blocked Wednesday morning due to a wreck blocking both lanes.

As of 3:00 PM Wednesday, traffic was moving again.

The call for the crash came in around 8:00 AM and delayed at least one lane of traffic for most of the day.

Montana Highway Patrol says a service vehicle driving southbound struck a semi with an extended trailer driving northbound.

While the investigation is still under investigation, MHP says it looks like a pup trailer swung into the southbound lane at the time of the incident.

MHP Officer Zach Miller says icy roads and a strong gust of wind may have contributed to the crash.

About seven agencies responded, and heavy duty equipment was used to get a man out of a service truck.

"They had to use jaws of life to extricate the driver of the delivery or the service truck and then he was life flighted to Missoula," Officer Miller said.

The driver of the semi truck was transported to the hospital. While his condition is unknown, officers say he was talking at the time he was taken to the hospital.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
