This bill is being heard by the Business and Labor Committee in the House of Representatives and could change sports betting in Montana.
If passed, this bill would require sports pools and sports tab games to be conducted only by licensed entities. Currently, the gambling control division of the Justice Department has many rules in place when it comes to sports gambling, and this bill would add one more with the licensing requirement. In addition, the bill calls for allowing non-profit organizations to sponsor the game of heads and tails. The sponsor must identify themselves and all entry fees paid to play a heads or tails game must be divided between the sponsor and the winner.
If you have any interest in owning an antique gambling device this bill also calls for allowing the possession of antique gambling devices for display purposes only.
