2016 KFBB to KC: MSU-Northern NAIA Tournament Preview

The MSU-Northern Skylights will have a tough test when they play their tournament opener against Benedictine College tomorrow at 11 a.m. Montana Time. This game will be your typical match-up of offense versus defense. The Skylights rank 6th in the nation in scoring defense but the ravens rank 2nd in three pointers made with seven players shooting over 30% from beyond the arc. Northern's plan for round one is to slow down the ravens outside threats.

We're going to have to keep our man in front of us, and try not to give as much help, because they'll kick it out and they can shoot the ball" said Skylights junior guard Natalee Faupel. "We have to guard them out there 1-5."

"Just stay down," said Skylights sophomore guard Jacy Thompson. "They like to throw up shot fakes, then take it to the hole, and dish it out. So we've just got to stay down, and just resort to our defense that we always play."
