Nikki DiRico

Originally from Boston, MA, Nikki is very excited to have joined the KFBB team. In elementary school, Nikki became pen pals with a prominent Boston anchor woman, who encouraged her to work hard and follow her dreams.

A graduate of the Ed McMahon School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT, Nikki was a main anchor at Q30 News, the school’s student run television station for all four years. She was chosen to pioneer the school’s QU in LA program, where she worked in production at Revolt TV in Los Angeles, CA for Sean (P. Diddy) Combs.  Nikki also interned at WCVB TV in Boston, MA on the Eye Opener morning show as a production intern.  As a Quinnipiac University Ice Cat Cheerleader, she travelled with the men’s ice hockey team when they advanced to the finals in the Frozen Four game in Pittsburgh, PA. With her Alpha Delta Pi Sorority sisters, Nikki regularly volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House charities.

Nikki most recently came to KFBB from WHDH TV 7 News in Boston, MA where she covered breaking news as a writer.  Before that, she worked as a web producer at WMUR in Manchester, NH.

In her spare time, Nikki enjoys going to the gym and doing yoga.  An avid sports fan, she is very proud of her home teams and loves watching games with her family and friends. True to her Italian heritage, she is a terrific cook and loves meeting new people.  If you see her at the Farmer’s Market, stop and say hello.  Or, drop her a line on Twitter, Facebook, or email @nikki.dirico@kfbb.com.
