THREE FORKS- The world famous "Miss Montana" WWII-era plane will fly into Three Forks, Saturday August 3.
The plane made headlines for flying to Normandy to commemorate the D Day invasion that took place over 75 years ago.
The plane participated in both the paratrooper drop over Sannerville, France and the presidential flyover.
Miss Montana was built in 1944. Although the war ended before the plane was deployed, it was repurposed as a firefighting plane and dropped smokejumpers over the deadly Mann Gulch blaze.
