Motorcyclist leads deputies on 125 mph chase, sheriff says

Posted: Updated:

MISSOULA - Sheriff's deputies are seeking tips after an unidentified motorcyclist led them on a 125-mph chase.

The Missoula County Sheriff's Office says on Wednesday evening around 6:15 PM, a motorcyclist wearing all black sped past a sheriff's deputy northbound on Highway 93 near Bird Lane.

The motorcyclist refused to stop for the deputy and continued to speed north, at times reaching speeds over 125 mph. The deputy reported ending pursuit at Blue Mountain Road due to the amount of traffic on the road.

A civilian later found the motorcycle abandoned near Ridge Drive.

The sheriff's office says it's following several leads, and anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office or Crimestoppers at 406-721-4444. Anonymous tips are accepted.
