Stevensville brewery hosts sustainability fair

Wanting to create a better environment for future generations, one Ravalli County brewery is helping raise awareness and teaching other on how to be more sustainable. 

The WildWood brewery in Stevensville hosted the seventh annual sustainability fair on Sunday from 12:00-8:00 p.m. to inform more Montanans on how to be more environmentally conscious.

The fair had a variety of fun, family-friendly activities like cider making and ladder golf. Craft vendors with organic products like skin care items and all-natural baby wipes had popped open a shop. Educational information on how to be more sustainable for the future. The brewery owner, Jim Lueders, said Wildwood sells organic beer and they're committed to using methods that are kind to the environment. He says hosting the sustainability fair is a fun way to give back to the community. 

"We're trying to become a good community member, we want to see long term success for our community," Lueders said. "We want to make awareness for people on their farming methods and supporting local, so we can help the local economy."

Lueders said he is working to build an integrated farm around the brewery. He said using environmentally friendly techniques will help future generations, and the fair goes hand in hand with the brewery's mission.
