UM adds E-Cigarettes to Tobacco Free Policy

The University of Montana has added e-cigarettes to its tobacco free policy.

The change in policy reflects the university's commitment to a tobacco free campus.

When they first passed the tobacco free policy, they didn't include e-cigarettes because there wasn't enough research on how they impacted health.

According to the University of Montana staff, UM students who reported daily use of e-cigarette doubled in the past two years.

The policy doesn't just protect everyone's right to breathe clean air but also encourages smokers to try to quit and succeed in doing so.
