MISSOULA- Saturday afternoon, The University of Montana Griz took on the Portland State Vikings at Washington-Grizzly Stadium for UM's homecoming game.

The homecoming tailgate started early, fans gathered outside Grizzly stadium hours before the 2 p.m kick-off. Griz fans said they were excited for the homecoming match and many  fans brought campers and buses. One group of fans brought their iconic "Griz Mobile".

Sherri Higgins and her family purchased the "Griz Mobile" almost ten years ago. Higgins said the camper is parked outside the stadium for every home game. Higgins and her husband also make the trip from Helena each time the Griz play at Grizzly Stadium. "We're excited for every game, there are the one's that are special and home coming is always special," said Higgins.

Higgins also said her family purchases the same tailgate spot every year and all Griz fans are welcome to tailgate with them. "My favorite part is the crowd and the people that come together for this and you see people that come back," said Higgins.

The Griz next home match up will be against UC Davis on October 27th for UM's military appreciation and family weekend game.
