POWELL COUNTY - Montana Highway Patrol received a call of a single car roll over crash around 1:40 a.m. Wednesday that involved a Montana Standard newspaper delivery car.

The accident happened near mile marker 9 on Highway 12 in Powell County. According to MHP, the woman driving was not wearing a seat belt and suffered a laceration to her head and a back injury. She was transported via helicopter to a hospital in Missoula and is expected to recover.

A passenger in the vehicle was wearing his seat belt and suffered a shoulder injury.

MHP does not believe alcohol was a factor in the accident but said distracted driving may have played a role. The accident is still under investigation.

According to the Montana Standard, papers were late or not delivered Wednesday to Anaconda, Deer Lodge or Georgetown areas as a result of the accident.
