UPDATE: July 12, 2018
Build-A-Bear announced they have closed lines for all of their U.S. and Canada stores for the "Pay Your Age" event being held Thursday due to "crowds and safety concerns."
"Per local authorities, we cannot accept additional Guests at our locations due to crowds and safety concerns," the company posted on their Facebook page Thursday morning. "We have closed lines in our U.S. and Canada stores. We understand some Guests are disappointed and we will reach out directly as soon as possible."
The announcement was posted about 90 minutes prior to the Spokane Valley location opening, but a viewer photo posted on our Facebook page shows a long line has already formed in the Spokane Valley Mall for the event.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
If you've ever wanted to build your very own teddy bear, but only wanted to pay your age for it, then this Thursday Build-A-Bear has a deal for you.
July 12, 2018, Build-A-Bear is offering "Pay Your Age Day" where you can build a furry friend and it will only cost you your age. Pretty cool, eh?
But what if you're pretty old, like me? Will I have to pay more than a bear would normally cost? No! Guests will pay no more than $29 for a furry friend. Although I'd be better off bringing my 1-year-old son and making him pay. Because then it would be only $1. Which is the minimum.
There are also a few other things you should be aware of if you plan to go:
Happy bear building!
