POLSON, Mont. (AP) - An 18-year-old Polson man has died after slipping into a creek and being swept over a waterfall while on a hike.

Lake County Sheriff Don Bell says Cameron Roullier died Saturday afternoon. Witnesses said Roullier slipped on wet rocks and fell into fast-moving creek before being swept over Mud Lake Falls southeast of Polson.

Bell says search and rescue teams located the victim about two-thirds of the way down the cliff face. A Two Bear Air helicopter aided in recovering his body. An autopsy was planned.

Bell says Roullier was scheduled to graduate from high school in two weeks.
