May is National Foster Care Month, so we are celebrating the foster parents and children in our state, and mother's simultaneously this morning.
Times weren't always as promising for the 15 year old. After living with an adoptive family from age 3 to 13, Siara went to four different foster homes...and then she met Tina Ott. Siara fell in love with Tina and asked to be adopted.
"I thought well i'll pray about this and see where god wants me to lead, because I am a single person, on a limited income, I'm thinking she's gonna' need college and everything that comes with being a parent you get, the minute you sign on that line," Ott, Adoptive Mother in Billings, says.
It was Tina's own positive experience living with a foster family when she was a teen that inspired her to give someone else a better future.

"I've always wanted to do something back, to let kids know that when you're in foster care you can make it, you can make the right choices and be successful," Ott says.
But it's not just Siara's life that has changed for the better.
"Being able to help her through some of the difficulties has blessed me also, by being able to bless her," Ott says.
Tina and her 8th grader at Lewis and Clark middle school can't wait for this mother's day...
"I think it's pretty exciting, she's very excited, she's like "oh" and she says I think I'll get you this for mother's day or I think I'll get you that for mother's day," Ott says.
Tina says she knows Siara will be a wonderful mother someday, and looks forward to seeing that...many years from now.
