MSU sends alert after reported robbery

Montana State University has issued alert to students, faculty and staff after a reported robbery near campus. 

According to the alert the MSU Police Department responded to a reported robbery around 3:00 a.m. Tuesday. The victim told police he was walking on South 6th Avenue near West College Street when he was attack. The suspect reportedly grabbed the victim and placed him in a choke hold. 

The victim told police he gave the suspect his belongings and the suspect threw him down and fled the scene. 

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6’1”, medium build. The suspect was wearing blue jeans and a black hoodie with a red “anarchy” symbol on the left chest.  No other description is available. The male was last seen running northbound on South 6th Avenue.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the MSU Police Department at 994-2121.
