McDonald's iPhone app tell you if ice cream machine is working

Posted: Updated:

We've all heard the heartbreaking news through the drive thru kiosk: "Our ice cream machine isn't working."

Now there's an app that will let you know whether or not it's up and running before you get in line.

It's called 'Ice Check' and is available for free in the Apple iTunes store.

The app lets you search nearby locations for the status of their ice cream machines in real time.

'Ice Check' also lets customers report broken machines so other app users are aware.

CHICAGO (AP) - There's new guidance to help family doctors do a better job of diagnosing mental decline and dementia.  A panel of Alzheimer's disease experts on Sunday issued guidelines aiming to get help sooner for people whose minds are slipping, even if there's no cure. Surveys and anecdotal reports show many people with symptoms don't get checked and some aren't told when a problem is found.

PALO ALTO, Calif. (AP) - Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and an artist have settled a row over a farting unicorn. Musk in February tweeted a photo of a mug made by Colorado potter Tom Edwards that showed a tooting unicorn powering an electric vehicle. Edwards initially thanked Musk for the exposure. But the artist got upset after Musk used the unicorn image to promote Tesla's sketch page feature and put the graphic in the automobiles' operating systems.
