Ravalli County fire updates

Posted: Updated:

Lolo Peak Fire: Sheriff Steve Holton said that due to the continued good work by Doug Turman's Northern Rockies Type 1 Incident Management Team, the Evacuation Warnings from the north side of Tie Chute Lane north to West County Line Road have been rescinded and all residents can repopulate the area with no warnings or orders in effect.

The area west of Hwy 93 from the south side of Tie Chute Lane to the north side of South Kootenai Creek Road remains in an Evacuation Warning status and those residents should continue to be prepared to evacuate.  Sheriff Holton thanked the Stevensville and Florence Communities for a very productive and positive Community Meeting last night at the Stevensville High School.  Fire Information can be obtained at the Public Information booths located at the Florence Farmer's State Bank and Stevensville Super One parking lots.

Nelson Creek Fire: Residents of Nez Perce Road, Lapwai, North Lapwai, Fox, West Fox, and Bear Hollow Court remain in an Evacuation Warning.

Meyers Fire: East Fork residents between Teepee Creek and Little East Fork remain in an Evacuation Warning Status.  Information on the Meyers Fire is available at the Sula Store and Sula Community Club House.

Sheriff Holton reminded all residents to be aware of changing fire conditions and to stay informed through the media and the free Ravalli County Sheriff's app for mobile devices.  Information on all fires is available on InciWeb on the link on the Sheriff's App.
