UPDATE: Propane truck rollover causes delays near Florence

Posted: Updated:
FLORENCE -

The East Side Highway is closed south of Florence after a propane truck rolled into a ditch this afternoon.

Trooper Lath Keith said the driver of the truck had some injuries but refused transport to the hospital. Keith said a vehicle had stopped while trying to make a left hand turn off of the highway. The driver of the propane truck swerved to avoid hitting the cars in front of him. He said the propane tank was not compromised, but they closed the highway as a precaution.

He expects the road to open again at about 5 p.m.

A tanker truck rolled over on the East Side Highway south of Florence Wednesday, causing delays in traffic.

Montana Department of Transportation said the accident happened at about 2:30 Wednesday afternoon. They tell travelers to expect delays in both south and northbound lanes.

A witness tells ABC FOX Montana it did not look like the tanker caught fire or that anyone was injured. We have calls out to the trooper on scene and will bring you more information as it becomes available.
