Weather-permitting, east entrance and select roads open for YNP

Due to Avalanche Danger, Sylvan Pass will be closed Friday, May 5 & Saturday, May 6 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m

  • East Entrance to Fishing Bridge Junction opens Friday, May 5 at 8 a.m. to public motorists
  • East Entrance Road over Sylvan Pass will be closed Friday, May 5 and Saturday, May 6 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. due to avalanche danger
    • Expected warm and sunny weather will create significant avalanche danger
    • Conditions will be closely monitored and additional closures may occur
  • Canyon Village to Fishing Bridge Junction opens Friday, May 5 at 8 a.m. to public motorists

The Northeast Entrance to Cody via the Chief Joseph Scenic Highway is open to vehicles.
