Flathead Libraries Win Big

A branch of libraries in Northwest Montana have a reason to celebrate after being named the Montana library of the year.

ImagineIF Libraries underwent a major redesign about a year and a half ago to create a space that allows more than just a quiet corner and comfy chairs.

"We're doing a lot of unique things in the library, when you walk into this library right here we call this our programming platform and we're doing our programs right on the floor. Most libraries kind of push them away to the meeting room,” said Library Director Kim Crowley.

The focus for this month's program is flight, through both hot air balloons and air mail.

The library has branches in Kalispell, Columbia Falls and Bigfork.

    MISSOULA - Flooding season is far from over, as the Clark Fork is expected to rise a foot and a half in the next 24 hours. An alert from Missoula County says floodwaters are already filling Tower and Kehrwald, where residents have already been hit hard by flooding for several weeks.     The body of a missing boater is found on Friday night in the Clark Fork River. The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office says that the body of David Hall, 70, was located about two miles from where the boat he was in overturned last Saturday.
