Flathead Libraries Win Big

Posted: Updated:
KALISPELL -

A branch of libraries in Northwest Montana have a reason to celebrate after being named the Montana library of the year.

ImagineIF Libraries underwent a major redesign about a year and a half ago to create a space that allows more than just a quiet corner and comfy chairs.

"We're doing a lot of unique things in the library, when you walk into this library right here we call this our programming platform and we're doing our programs right on the floor. Most libraries kind of push them away to the meeting room,” said Library Director Kim Crowley.

The focus for this month's program is flight, through both hot air balloons and air mail.

The library has branches in Kalispell, Columbia Falls and Bigfork.
