Pursuing Education Made Easier for Underprivileged Kids
Through the "Science for All Scholarship Fund" and Missoula Food Bank programs, the SpectrUM Discovery Area has made family museum memberships available to 400 families.
The two organizations found a partnership to inspire young Montanans to pursue higher education and possible careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
The donation has a value of $24,000 dollars and the gift will reach more than 1,000 local children.
The Executive Director of the food bank commented that enriching opportunities are lacking when a family's main concern is finding where their next meal is coming from; these museum passes should help these kids and family members get more involved in the learning and growing community.
