Big Sky County District Employee Arrested and Detained

The Gallatin County Sheriff's Office arrested and detained 22-year-old Cyle Kokot, an employee of the Big Sky School District.

Lone Peak High School Girl's Head Basketball Coach-- Cyle Kokot faces two felony counts of sexual intercourse without consent. He was teaching at Lone Pine High School, and administrators say his behavior has come as a shock.

Superintendent of Big Sky School District Jerry House sent out a press release this afternoon stating that while they have "no comment" at this time, that does not mean action is not being taken. Kokot was placed in the Gallatin County Detention Center Friday afternoon.

Sergeant Matt Daugherty of the Gallatin County Sheriff's Department said: "He's been charged with two counts of sexual intercourse without consent, and he'll have his initial appearance tomorrow morning."

Superintendent House went on to say: "It is incomprehensible to us as a school and community that this alleged behavior could occur." House adds that counselors and administrators of Lone Pine High School are making themselves available to teachers, parents,and students when school starts on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

At this time, no information about the nature of the charges is available.
