Help identify persons of interest in car prowling and credit card fraud

Posted: Updated:
WHITMAN COUNTY, Wash. - The Whitman County Sheriff's Office is asking the public to help identity two women who are persons of interest in a vehicle prowling and credit card fraud incident that occurred in early June.

On the evening of June 6th or the early morning hours of June 7th, a car parked in Colton, Washington was illegally entered by one or more persons. A credit card was taken from the vehicle and used at two businesses in Lewiston, Idaho on June 7th, 2014.

Deputies received surveillance footage from one of the businesses where the credit cards were used. Based on interviews with the business' loss prevention staff and video footage it is believed two females in their late-teens or early-20's have information that could lead to an arrest. Both females were described as being approximately 5'9” to 5'10” tall.

If you believe you know the identity of these individuals please call the Deputy Anderson at the Whitman County Sheriff's Office (509) 397-6266. Case number 14-S1690.
