Donation Warehouse Makes Record Donation Of Its Own

MISSOULA -

Donation Warehouse celebrates a record year so far, and a record donation, with ice cream.

Donation Warehouse takes used furniture and appliances, sells them, and turns over money to the Parenting Place, a nonprofit working to prevent child abuse.

They've been at it for more than three years and each month they make a donation. So far this year, they've given more than $50,000. That's more than they ever have given at this point any previous year.

"There's a huge need for furniture and appliances in town. All of our appliances are tested and come with a warranty," said Laci Rathbun, the co-owner of the Donation Warehouse.

They gave out free ice cream Friday to celebrate the new record.

Each month this year they've pulled in between $6,000 and $8,000 for the Parenting Place.
