Walsh Hands Out Left Over Campaign Funds

BOZEMAN -

Senator John Walsh has started distributing his leftover campaign money after pulling the plug on his senate race earlier this month.

Of the estimated $180,000 left over campaign money, the Butte native has already given $2,000 to the Amanda Curtis campaign, which is the maximum the Senator can give according to federal rules.

$125,000 has gone to the Montana Democratic party and another $25,000 has gone to the Montana Democratic Legislative Committee.

In the beginning of July, before the plagiarism allegations came out, Walsh had about $700,000 in his campaign account but had since spent a hefty portion on TV ads before pulling out at the beginning of this month.
