Wise River Murder Suspects Make Appearance in Beaverhead Co.

BEAVERHEAD COUNTY -

The Wise River murder suspects made their first appearance in Beaverhead County Justice Court this morning. At the hearing today 29-year-old Christopher Stiles and 49-year-old Sandra Cantrell requested court appointed counsel.

Bail is still set for $540,000 each. Once papers are filed by the County Attorney the two suspects will appear in District Court.

Stiles is being charged with deliberate homicide in the August 9 death of Mark Robert Mullen. He is also charged with tampering with evidence and theft of property. Cantrell is being charged with accountability for homicide along with tampering with evidence and theft.

A preliminary hearing date has been set for September 11.
