Steve Daines Reacts to Amanda Curtis Nomination

Posted: Updated:
DIXON -

Congressman Steve Daines says not much of his campaign will change now that he has a new opponent.

Daines visited with Salish Kootenai tribal leaders in Ronan today.

When asked about Curtis' recent nomination, Daines said with only about 80 days left before the election, he will keep the same focus he had before his previous opponent, Senator John Walsh withdrew from the race.

"We're going to stay focused on what we've been doing here for the past year: working hard on behalf of the people of Montana for more jobs and less government," Daines said.

Daines said today he respects Walsh's decision to withdraw from the race.
