SPOKANE, Wash. -  A Spokane family says an "eye glow" they noticed in their 2-year-old daughter may be signs of retinoblastoma, a rare form of cancer. Now the family wants to educate others about the warning signs.

Dawson and Julie Mosey say their daughter Scarlet received the frightening diagnoses last week when a neighbor spotted the discoloration in her left eye. The couple had known about the dim glow for months.

On Friday a doctor diagnosed the rare cancer.

"It's been overwhelming," says Julie. "The people in our life have rallied around us."

Scarlet may lose her eye, but right now the family hopes the cancer hasn't spread any further. The couple wants other families to know the tiniest red flag, like a glow, can be something more.

"I don't want them to be freaked out," says Julie. "Just want them to recognize signs in them or a neighbor's baby. All you need is to recognize signs so you can do something about it right away."

"Eye glow" can be a symptom of several different conditions. For more information on how to spot them, click the link below.
