YMCA Remodeling Project Finishes Phase I

BILLINGS -

Phase one construction at the YMCA is wrapping up.

Construction crews are doctoring up the finishing touches in the new men's locker room.

On Tuesday, August 19th from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. the YMCA will open their doors to the public.

They are inviting the community to look at the brand new and improved locker room, sauna and hot tub.

To say that Development Director Mistie Mims is excited about the changes is an understatement.

"I have worked here for eleven years. My kids have been raised here. So to be able to see our building start to update itself, and just to be able to be in the community, and again, offering all of our programs to everybody, in a fun way, is exciting."

The “Y” is now entering phase two titled "Build a Place for Our Children" and believes the project will be complete in late November.

Scheels has granted $333,000.33 for the project and will match the YMCA for each dollar they spend.
