Missoula Named a 'Best Town' in America

MISSOULA -

It's official... Missoula is one of the best towns in America!

The Garden City emerged as a finalist in 'Outside' magazine's 2014 Best Towns Competition, a 64-town bracket-style tournament, held back in May.

Readers cast over 1.5 million votes, and Missoula garnered enough to made it to the 'Elite Eight' round.

'Outside' combined factors, including access to outdoor adventure, healthy eating options, open spaces, unemployment rates, and median incomes to summarize how livable a place is.

Out of a possible 100, Missoula scored an 82.

The town is now profiled in the cover story of 'Outside' magazine's September issue, which went on newsstands on Wednesday, showcasing the town's excellent food scene, beautiful neighborhoods and incredible access to the outdoors.
