Suspects Arrested in Beaverhead County Homicide

MISSOULA -  A man and woman identified as suspects in a recent death near Wise River in Beaverhead County are arrested in Missoula.

Sandra Lee Cantrell, 49, and Christopher Lee Stiles, 29, are being held at the Missoula Jail on warrants from Beaverhead County.

About 6 p.m. yesterday, a Missoula patrol sergeant recognized a RV matching the description of one Beaverhead Co. Sheriff's were searching for, after a man was found dead at a USFS campground near Wise River Sunday night.

Two hours later the officer found and arrested the occupants of the RV, Cantrell and Stiles, both of whom had outstanding warrants for their arrest.

On Sunday night, Beaverhead Co. law enforcement responded to reports of a body found at a USFS campground near Wise River. Upon arrival, officers found a the victim, identified as Mark Robert Mullen, in a campsite off the beaten path.

Neighboring campers told them they heard a fight breakout and then a gunshot.
