Opening Day for Butte An Ri Ra Fest

Posted: Updated:
BUTTE -

Vendors were set up and ready for the crowds at the annual An Ri Ra in Butte Friday. Folks were showing up a couple hours ahead of the official opening time of three o'clock.

We caught up with a couple of performers from the Tiernan Irish Dancers who will be part of the festival's opening act.

"I just get really excited that I can go and perform and show everybody what we get to do year round. I just love it."

"I'm just looking forward to getting up on the stage and pleasing the crowd. It's always nice to hear an applause."

This is the first time in history An Ri Ra is offering free admission to festival goers. The event will stay open until 11 p.m. Friday. It starts up again Saturday at noon and will last all day until 11 p.m.
