Anaconda Attorney Misappropriates Client Funds

Posted: Updated:
ANACONDA -

An Anaconda attorney is in hot water over the alleged misuse of client money. David McLean turned himself in to the office of disciplinary counsel after it was discovered he misappropriated client funds.

The unethical behavior was caught by the law firm's secretary who noticed irregularities in McLean's files. An investigation by the ODC determined McLean used client trust funds for his personal use.

David McLean's son Michael McLean wrote a letter to the ODC advising his father admitted to misappropriating funds since 2010. David McLean is the father-in-law to Lt. Governor Angela McLean.

The matter is still under investigation.

Lt. Governor Angela Mclean issued the following statement:

“I am proud of my husband for doing the right thing under extremely difficult circumstances and my heart goes out to those affected by this situation.”
