Bell's family and friends came from all over Montana and the country to celebrate this milestone.

Bell's granddaughter, Marti Bell, said she teenager when she realized how special her grandfather was to a lot of people. Before that, she thought everyone's grandfather shared stories about discovering some of country music's biggest talents.

Bell's wife, Marty Bell, says her husband's down-to-earth, open-book personality is what draws people to him and allowed him to have such an amazing life and career.

Lonnie shared a lot about his time spent in the broadcast industry. Watch the story to see how Lonnie ended up in Billings.
