State Games Bring People Together

BILLINGS -

Whether you're from Billings, Sidney, or one of the surrounding states, Big Sky State Games brings people together who share a common bond.

Jennifer Dore is a bowler from Sidney.  This year's state games is her first, but will not be her last.

She said being from Sidney and trying to compete in bowling is tough because you know everyone in the bowling league. This is Dore's first year at the State Games, but it won't be her last. She said it's nice to compete with people you don't know.

Kimberly Braaton and Rich Marquess are commissioners for wrestling and bowling, respectively.  They both said more people should come out next year because it's a great time and it offers you the chance to compete in sports usually reserved for highly trained athletes.

Medalist in this year and last year's state games are eligible to compete in the State Games of America, which will be held in Lincoln, Nebraska, July 28 - August 2, 2015.
