    KHQ.COM - We were completely overwhelmed at how this community came together yesterday for the Q6 Cares, Inland NW Shares drive yesterday to support the victims of the Carlton Complex Fire who lost their homes. All day Monday from 5am - 6:30pm we were inundated by a constant flow of people wanting to make a difference.
    KHQ.COM - We were completely overwhelmed at how this community came together yesterday for the Q6 Cares, Inland NW Shares drive yesterday to support the victims of the Carlton Complex Fire who lost their homes. All day Monday from 5am - 6:30pm we were inundated by a constant flow of people wanting to make a difference.

KHQ.COM - Here are the latest updates as of 2:27pm on Wednesday for the Chiwaukum Complex Fire and the Mills Canyon Fire according to the Northwest Interagency Coordination Center Tuesday Morning Brief:

Chiwaukum Complex: Chiwaukum Complex includes Chiwaukum Creek fire, Kelly Mountain Fire and Duncan Fire. This fire is burning 9 miles NW of Leavenworth, WA. It was started by lightning on July 15th, has now burned 12,255 acres and is 20% contained. Values at risk include cabins, homes, power lines, logging equipment, T&E species and natural resources. There are level 1, 2, and 3 evacuations. Hwy 2 is closed. Washington state fire mob authorized. 1,011 personnel are fighting this fire. Chiwaukum is near the community of Leavenworth. Duncan and Kelly Mountain Fires are north of Klone Peak.

Mills Canyon - This fire remains at 22,571 acres (number has not changed for 5 days now). It is 90%contained. It started on July 8th and the cause is not known at this time. 57 personnel are fighting this fire. Fire activity continues to be minimal, with creeping and smoldering. Values at risk include residences.

    KHQ.com - A truck hauling dough on Interstate 5 Monday had to pull off to the shoulder after the heat of the day caused the dough being transported in the truck to rise and spill out of the truck onto the highway. Trooper Brooke Bova documented the odd sight on Twitter. She said the truck was not blocking traffic, but different agencies responded to clean it up.
