Kennewick Softball Team Won State for Kate

 SELAH, WA - "State for Kate." That was the motto this weekend for the Washington Angels Dilger 16A Girl's Fastpitch Softball team, based in Kennewick. Kate Austin, who died unexpectedly earlier this year was on their team before she was killed.

The girls won the WASA tournament in Selah this weekend 5-1, beating out the Blades in the championship game 10-2. Coach Rob Dilger said the team played for Kate and that she was and still is an Angel.

The team earned a berth to nationals in Salem, Virginia which will take place July 27th - August 3rd. They'll be holding fundraising events to get there.

    SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - Every second counts when it comes to a cardiac arrest emergency. Spokane Valley Firefighters are taking advantage of every second with a different approach to CPR. It’s called Pit Crew CPR and requires all hands on deck. Each team member has a roll; one to do compressions, another to ventilate, another to medicate and others to help assist.
