The man's suspicious behavior was concerning to the student, but his intentions are not known. Police say attempts to locate and identify the man have not been successful and no similar incidents have been reported.

Spokane Police and firefighters responded to a report of a vehicle in the river Saturday morning near Helena and Sinto. A caller reported damage to a guardrail, skid marks and some car parts scattered along the Spokane River's banks. When emergency crews arrived on scene, no car was found. Spokane police used their drone as well as Spokane County Sheriff's Office helicopter Air 1 to search the river nearby, but were not able to locate anything.
