KALISPELL -

Four bears are dead in the Flathead Valley.

Now, state and federal wildlife officials are investigating how three of those bears, all Grizzlies, died.

Tuesday, FWP put down a Black bear near Lake Mary Ronan. FWP spokesman John Fraley says people left food out and the bear was making a habit of getting too close for comfort.

Three more young Grizzly bears were killed, however, and officials are looking into the causes of their deaths. They were found around Ferndale.

If you know anything, FWP asks you call 1-800-TIP-MONT. You don't have to give your name, but you could earn a reward.
