Bomb Scare At UPS Turns Out To Be Cooling Device

Posted: Updated:
KALISPELL - A strange looking package that had police shut down North Meridian Road for hours turns out to be a cooling device.

Just before 3:30 on Friday afternoon, UPS called Kalispell police saying they received an odd piece of mail.

They couldn't tell where it was going or where it was from, and when authorities got a picture of it they started evacuating the area.

A specialist team from Missoula came up and determined it wasn't explosive, but it is actually used to move biological material.

Police aren't connecting the package with anything criminal.
