Heart & Sole Benefits Non-profit

BILLINGS - More than 3,000 people will participate in the 35th annual Heart and Sole Race this Saturday -- and the event's runners help out the Magic City in more ways than they might think.

A percentage of profits from the race helps the non-profit group BikeNet improve and expand the city's trail system. According to BikeNet Executive Director Kristi Drake, the race has raised more than 30,000 dollars for BikeNet over the past three years. Last year, that money added trails and restrooms to Swords Park.

There is a 2 mile and a 5K race -- and it's not too late to register. The races start at St. Vincent Healthcare and end at Dehler Park.
