Fifth Graders Plant Trees In Bozeman Park

Posted: Updated:
BOZEMAN - A Bozeman park gets a fresh look for spring.

On Thursday, fifth graders at Emily Dickinson Elementary school planted 73 trees and pulled weeds at the Dinosaur Park in Bozeman.

The students choose to do the yard work as their legacy project for the year. They raised $2,200 throughout the year to purchase the trees and take care of them.

"I really like this park and I know a lot of other kids do. It just makes me feel good to get rid of all the weeds," said Josiah Cash, fifth grader.

Gallatin County will install an irrigation system to take care of the trees.
