SPOKANE, Wash. – The West Coast Conference announced its annual baseball awards Tuesday morning and Gonzaga University senior Payden Cawley Lamb, sophomore Caleb Wood and freshman Brandon Bailey were named All-WCC first team, and sophomore Jimmy Sinatro was recognized with All-WCC honorable mention honors.

Bailey was also tabbed to the All-WCC Freshman first team.

Lamb proved to be one of the top hitters in the WCC with his .434 batting average in league games. Over the 27 conference games, Lamb had a WCC-best 46 hits, 21 runs scored, 10 doubles and 14 RBI. The Buckely, Wash., native led the Zags offense this season in batting average (.372), hits (71), doubles (12), slugging percentage (.461) and on base percentage (.445). Lamb had the Zags two longest hitting streaks of the season of 14 games and 11 games, respectively. This is his first All-WCC accolade.

This is the second season Wood has been honored by the conference. As a freshman he was tabbed All-WCC honorable mention while being on the All-WCC Freshman first team. This year Wood hit .333 (30-for-117) in league with seven doubles and 16 RBI. The Surprise, Ariz., native was 5-for-6 on stolen base attempts, which move his career total to 18-for-19.

Bailey had phenomenal efforts in league games this year. In nine WCC starts, Bailey tallied a 6-2 record with a 2.85 ERA in 66.1 innings. The Broomfield, Colo., native tossed two complete games and finished ninth in the league with 37 strikeouts. He finished the year 6-6 overall with a 3.53 ERA.
