The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Championship Opening Round has completed its double elimination process and a field of 45 has been whittled down to 10 teams to compete in the Avista NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho over the next two weekends, May 23-30. 

Host school Lewis-Clark State College will be joined by San Diego Christian (Calif.), Oklahoma Baptist (Okla.), Tabor (Kan.), Georgia Gwinnett, Faulkner (Ala.), Southern Poly (Ga.), Georgetown (Ky.), Oklahoma Wesleyan and Cumberland (Tenn.) in Lewiston starting next Friday, May 23.

Last season Faulkner (Ala.) defeated Lewis-Clark State College 11-4 in the championship game. 

SWX will broadcast the championship game of the Avista NAIA World Series on Thursday, May 29, with the game being moved to the 30th only if necessary.
